On February 10th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Downtown Visalia transformed into a dessert lover’s dream for our very first Dessert Walk—and we’re excited to share that the event completely sold out! With 23 participating merchants, guests spent the evening strolling through downtown, discovering sweet treats, and experiencing the energy of our local businesses in a whole new way.
The evening began at House of JuJu, where guests were welcomed with a warm croissant bread pudding that set the tone for a cozy, indulgent night. As they made their way through downtown, walkers sampled a variety of sweet treats: pistachio and lemon cakes from Bistro di Bufala, churro chips with caramel dip from Quesadilla Gorilla, Vanilla Valentine’s Sprinkle and Chocolate Strawberry ice cream from Scoops on Main, tiramisu and banana cream pie from PK Deli & Bakery, Oreo cream cheese bites from the Rustic Cheese Shop, warm empanadas with berry compote from Cellar Door, pound cake topped with a giant chocolate-covered strawberry from the Visalia Marriott at the Convention Center, and chewy sprinkle cookies and the popular Homer donut from Component Coffee Lab. Each stop offered something unique, ensuring no two bites were the same and every guest left with a sweet memory. And these are just a few of the delicious offerings from the night—every participating merchant had something special to share with guests!
Beyond the desserts, what made the night truly special was the atmosphere. Families with kids excitedly mapped out their next stop, couples turned the event into early Valentine’s date nights, and groups of girlfriends gathered for Galentine’s celebrations. We even spotted local food vloggers documenting their favorite bites and sharing the experience with their audiences. Every corner of downtown felt lively, welcoming, and connected.
The evening wrapped up at the historic Visalia Fox Theatre, where guests settled in for a showing of 10 Things I Hate About You. With cocktails available for purchase, it was the perfect sweet ending to an already memorable night.
