Tips for surviving THRIVING this summer!
Don’t slack on your summer bod
If you’ve managed to get your life together in time for swimsuit season (or maybe you’re still working on it, no judgement here) don’t stop now! Make sure you are fueling your body with things keeping you strong, hydrated, and properly nourished. Summertime is great for swimming and outdoor activities, but during the heat of the day join an indoor gym for a little a/c and a break from the sun.
Also don’t neglect your plants
Top 3 tips from Sugar’s Succulents: 1. On hot days, water your plants in the morning to keep them hydrated and help combat the heat. 2. Only water your succulents when the soil is completely dry. 3. If you have young succulents, allow them to get direct morning sun to keep their colors and shapes, and avoid sunburns. Afternoon sun is often too harsh in the summertime.
Upgrade your furniture
Let’s be honest, when we’re not working on our succulent gardens we’ll be spending a lot of time indoors getting some quality a/c time. Perfect time to upgrade your interior décor! The official swap out from warm winter decor to light summer or staple pieces for all year long.
Shop local
The best part about shopping local is they know what it’s like to live where you live (read: they know how hot it is) making their selection catered to your life! Having good quality and weather appropriate shoes and clothing makes life a little easier, don’t you think?
