Last Saturday, March 21st, Downtown Visalia came alive with sunshine, laughter, and a whole lot of community spirit at our annual Spring Market.
Families from all over gathered to enjoy a day full of fun activities for all ages. One of the highlights of the day was a special visit from Visalia Rawhide, who brought along their beloved mascot, Tipper. Kids had the chance to meet Tipper in person and take part in a special reading of his new book, Tipper Takes the Mound, hosted in partnership with The Book Nook. The book is now available for purchase at The Book Nook, making it a perfect keepsake from the day.
The event was packed with activities to keep little ones entertained, including free face painting, train rides, and hands-on crafts. City of Visalia and Arts Visalia helped bring creativity to life with coloring sheets and craft stations that encouraged kids to get imaginative.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, 104.7 FM kept the energy high with great music throughout the day. Our community partner, Mission Coffee, was also on-site serving up refreshing cold brew, coffee, and lemonade—perfect for enjoying the beautiful spring weather.
The market itself was bustling, with a full parking lot of talented local vendors showcasing their goods. Attendees were able to shop a wide variety of items, from delicious baked treats and handmade apparel to unique toys, stunning greenery arrangements, jewelry, home décor, lotions, and candles. It was a true celebration of the creativity and entrepreneurship that makes our community so special.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Spring Market and to all of our vendors, partners, and volunteers who made the day possible. We loved seeing Downtown Visalia filled with smiling faces and can’t wait to do it again next year!
